Building Your Soul Tribe and Finding Your Place

Calling in Your Soul Tribe

Today I wanted to offer insights from my personal journey on the power of finding your soul tribe, and share practical strategies for inviting them into your world.

Some of my followers may remember that I moved from San Francisco to Charleston, South Carolina a few years ago, leaving my home and friends of 31 years!  I was only in Charleston for 18 months before I moved to Raleigh in the other Carolina.

The primary reason I left Charleston for Raleigh was the challenge of finding my tribe. Within just a few months of settling in Raleigh, I started forging connections with incredible individuals, thanks to local Facebook social and networking groups. To be completely honest, it took a heck of a lot of effort on my part, but the payoff has been more than worth the time investment.

At my first in person networking meeting I met a woman who runs wellness retreats. She was very curious about the intuitive side of my business and how my offerings might be a fit for her retreats. We set up a lunch, which was a smashing success!  We talked about astrology, golf, wellness retreats, chakras, crystals, full moons and so much more. The conversation flowed effortlessly and this is what it feels like when you meet part of your tribe.

A few weeks later there was a second lunch and she officially invited me to be a co-facilitator at her Costa Rica wellness retreat in January of 2024.  I was beyond thrilled and of course said yes!

What is really interesting is in August of 2020 I had a vision of wellness retreats in my future.  At the time I thought I would be running these retreats out of my home that I was actively manifesting at the time.  When things didn’t come together for me in Charleston I put that dream on the hold and then like magic, this woman walked into my life! Another valuable lesson I learned is to be open about how our dreams come true.

Building a soul tribe can provide you with a supportive and nourishing community, where you can grow, learn, and thrive together.  You get them and they get you. It is a reciprocal energy that fosters our soul’s development.  It really is that simple! When you meet people in your tribe you may get goosebumps because the energy just feels so right.

Throughout our lives, as we evolve and our values and beliefs shift, our tribe may change.  We will likely invite many new members into our circle and walk away from others who’s energy we no longer resonate with.  Our tribe will help us achieve our spiritual goals and fulfill our mission or destiny in this lifetime.

We may only have brief encounters with some people and others will remain in our lives forever.  Both are equally important to our journey so I encourage you to be open to the wisdom that is available to you from your tribe however long they are meant to stay.

This is what it may feel like when you meet members of your soul tribe:

  • You hit it off instantly and share a deep bond that defies logic.

  • It may feel like meeting them was destined or fated.

  • You will feel an intense spiritual connection to them.

  • You know you can learn a lot about yourself via the relationship.

  • You know when meeting them you can be your authentic self.

  • You've had many similar experiences.

  • You can spend hours discussing your personal life philosophies.

  • Your tribe inspires you to be a better person.

  • They support and encourage you and you do the same for them.

Here are a few tips to help you call in your soul tribe:

  • Know Yourself: It's essential to have a clear understanding of who you are, what you value, and what you seek in a community. Embrace your authentic self and be open about your interests and passions.

  • Identify Your Interests: Determine the areas of your life that are most important to you. These interests could include spirituality, personal growth, hobbies, career goals, activism, and more.

  • Attend Events and Gatherings: Look for events, workshops, seminars, or gatherings centered around your interests.

  • Join Online Communities: Social media can be a great way to find groups or communities aligned with your interests. Facebook Groups, Reddit communities, and platforms like Meetup.com are excellent places to start.

  • Be Open and Approachable: When attending events be open to connecting with new people. Be approachable and show genuine interest in others' perspectives and experiences.

  • Share Your Authentic Self: Be vulnerable and share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others. Authenticity fosters deeper connections and attracts like-minded individuals who resonate with your journey.

  • Seek Quality Over Quantity: Focus on the quality of connections rather than trying to amass a large number of acquaintances. True soul connections are based on genuine resonance and understanding.

  • Create Your Own Gathering: If you can't find a community that aligns perfectly with your values and interests, consider starting your own group.

  • Be Patient: Building a soul tribe takes time. Be patient and allow connections to evolve naturally. Meaningful relationships can't be rushed.

  • Release Toxic Connections: As you pursue authentic connections, be willing to let go of relationships that no longer serve your growth or well-being.

Remember that calling in your soul tribe is about building meaningful connections, not just finding people who agree with you on everything. Embrace diversity, as it can lead to rich and profound experiences within your tribe.

Trust that the right people will come into your life when the time is right, and you'll create a community that supports and uplifts each other on the journey of life.
